The MMC Team wishes you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
We pray for God’s mercies, blessings, and favor upon your family throughout the coming year. Let us pray together that 2023 will be a great year of personal spiritual growth and ministry for all of us.
The need is greater now than ever in our country for us to live in God’s presence and power. We must live according to His Word and pray for one another. As believers, we are facing trials and attacks on every side. The “woke mentality” in our nation has us struggling with our theology, gender confusion, absentee fathers, and a government that approves and advances what the Bible declares as ungodly and unrighteous. However, in the middle of all of this, we can rest on God’s promises. “The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1)
Our team encourages you to stand firm in the faith, be bold and courageous, and continue to build relationships with those around you in a manner that causes you to be “salt and light.” With you being “salt and light:, God can use you to change lives and influence our culture. To that end, we stand ready to provide you with resources on our website that make perfect inspirational gifts for those you love. Our new book The Great Shepherd – A Psalm of Calm in a Time of Chaos (Psalm 23) has already become an MMC Best Seller and is available to you at a reduced cost. Click here to order →.
A Promise From God
This year’s theme is Invest in Hope. God gave a promise to Jeremiah in the Old Testament that we can apply to us today. “Because of the loving devotion of the Lord, we are not consumed, for His mercies never fail. They are new every morning: Great is your faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22-23)
As we battle every day, this is a promise of hope that our country needs so desperately. Because so many are feeling hopeless, sad, discouraged, frustrated, and isolated, we are given a glorious opportunity to be agents of hope and change, for those without hope. Never in our 42 years of ministry, has the enemy had a more negative influence on the numbers of pastors and men who struggle so desperately with life, and a society that sees biblical masculinity as “toxic.” Let us rely on the glorious promises of God as we live each day by faith, striving to be used by Him. Please know, that we are praying for you and that you are vital to the Kingdom of God this holiday season and beyond.
The Past is a Prologue to the Future
As we are celebrating the entry into our 42nd year of ministry, we are humbled and thrilled about the blessings God has given us this past year. We are receiving more inquiries than ever before from pastors and individuals on how to impact their communities for Christ. They are seeking consultation, counseling, resources, and teaching on how to make disciples who make disciples. Your prayers and support make this investment in hope through MMC possible. You are a blessing!
In 2022 we have been able to host training for pastors and leaders of men in Denver, Colorado Springs, Nebraska, the Bay Area, and Africa. These seminars are bearing fruit as these leaders begin to integrate what they learned into their churches. These leaders are asking us to help them build a long-term plan to impact their men and the men of their communities. We emphasize that real growth happens best in a relational environment or small group. Our resources and coaching are specifically designed to assist the leaders of these groups.
Impacting Thousands Around the World
MMC has been blessed as we provide resources for men and their leaders. In 2022 we continue to have extremely positive results with the Weekly Devotional that is published every Tuesday morning. It is a source of hope, and many are sharing the impact it is having on their lives with people around the globe. We also launched a Tip of the Week that offers weekly insights to men and their leaders. Every week someone reaches out to say thank you or to share how they are integrating what they just read. The Act Like Men – Men’s Leadership Podcast has been highly effective by addressing timely issues head-on like: How to Overcome the Grip of Pornography, Living with the End in Mind, and The Essence of Discipleship. While we address the issues men face, we are trying to guide pastors and leaders of men as they work with their flocks to build an engaging ministry of hope and mentoring.
Why do we do all of this? Because every man deserves the opportunity to become an authentic, biblically-based man of God who reaches out to other men with the message of hope – hope in the love and peace only Jesus can provide.
Never Before Has There been a Greater Opportunity to Spread His Word
In 2023 Men’s Ministry Catalyst has been asked to take a leadership role in meeting with over 130 lay pastors in Mexico who are part of a new Evangelical Movement being promoted through a Bible Institute in Tecate, Mexico. They will use our new book The Great Shepherd, (titled El Gran Pastor in Spanish) as a launch pad. We are developing curricula and resources to assist these dynamic leaders with their national outreach program.
Additionally, we are collaborating with the Assembly of God denomination to integrate our materials into their national outreach to men. Our work in training pastors and small group leaders continues as we are now organizing our volunteer small group leaders into an MMC Ambassador Network. This Network will help meet the needs of these home- and small-group leaders for resources and tips on how to meet the needs of so many broken men. This program will have regional volunteer leaders who have taken our seminary-level courses on discipleship and evangelism.
An Opportunity For You to Make a Real Difference
During the past few months, many individuals who know our passion for reaching others with the Good News have already stepped forward and provided some funds to launch our expanded outreach. They pledged these funds on the basis that our network of supporters would match their generosity. We now have over $65,000 in cash and pledges to be matched during our Year-end Fundraising Champaign. With your help, we can even double our goal of $100,000. Praise God! It takes your prayers, resources, and participation to provide the books, booklets, counseling, and other resources to the smaller churches and to people who struggle with finances and need our help to obtain these strategic resources.
Our launch into Mexico and Africa will provide new horizons for God’s Word to reach thousands who do not know Jesus. Providing books and Bibles in their native language requires new funds that are not currently in our budget. As an example, we had one very generous donor provide a $20,000 gift to be matched for our international reach. We want to match this family’s generous gift so we can conduct Bible Institute Training, a medical mission, and a work project.
MMC has a calling to reach younger men who may not be attending church. We are doing this with our expanded social media communication along with a new podcast. This all requires support to keep these messages flowing. Too many younger men are without hope. The statistics on suicide are increasing as younger guys ponder where they fit into this hopeless environment. Our social media outreach has already impacted hundreds of troubled youths. Praise God!
Our ambitious 2023 Initiatives are included below. These goals and objectives can only be accomplished with your prayers and financial support. Please consider your best gift to help us move forward with the vision God has given us. Click here to give on-line through our secure website or for instructions on how to donate by mail.

Toward the end of his ministry, A.W. Tozer asked for prayer from his congregation. He said, “Pray for me in the light of the pressures of our times. Pray that I will not just come to a wearied end—an exhausted, tired old preacher, interested only in hunting a place to roost. Pray that I will be willing to let my Christian experience and Christian standards cost me something right down to the end!”
Friends, like A.W. Tozer, we want our efforts and resources to count for building God’s Kingdom during these End-Time Days. We need to reach those without hope and inspire them to become followers of Christ who make disciples. Thank you in advance for your love gift of hope to a lost generation.
In His Service,
Rev. Wendell A. Morton | Executive Director / Dr. Jim Grassi | Founder/President
P.S. “I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:3-6)

All authority has been given to Me (and you) in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
