Big Idea: Worry – negative thoughts about the future
Someone once said: “Worry is a feeling of uneasiness, apprehension, or dread, usually related to negative thoughts of something that may happen in the future.” Someone else said: “Worry is a stream of fear trickling through the mind.”
Can we just agree together that worry is a waste of time? Most of the things I have worried about never happened. Let’s replace worry with faith – through God’s word and with God’s people to help us. Matthew said: Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen in the future. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes. Matthew 6:34, The Message
Today, let’s choose faith over fear and worry. Reach out to get the encouragement you need from a trusted brother.
