Overwhelming Feelings – Don’t Grow Weary–Spiritually

by | Jul 3, 2024

Overwhelming Feelings – Let us not grow weary.

Paul knew very well how wearying the spiritual battle can be. The responsibilities of a pastor, men’s ministry leader, and head of the household can at times be overwhelming.

Growing weary because of this battle is a real danger in the Christian life. God knew this from the beginning, and set the example, working six days and commanding rest on the seventh. Jesus scheduled times of rest, and so should we. Paul provides encouragement to us in Galatians 6:9, “Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”

Today – Read Genesis 2:1-3 and Mark 6:30-32, then reflect on your schedule. Are you providing yourself enough rest?
