Spiritual Mentoring – Big Idea
Spiritual Mentoring has as a major component of the sharing of life together (breaking of bread).
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals, and to prayer.”
— Acts 2:42 NLT
“And to sharing meals together”: Here is an interesting statistic: 79% of Americans say that food is the best way to someone’s heart – I would 100% agree! Throughout the New Testament, the early church spent a lot of time together, often referred to as “the sharing of bread” together. There is something magical in the sharing of a meal together in relationship building. To be transformational, Spiritual Mentoring rides the relationship rails as the most effective way for life to be poured into one another.
