Spiritual Mentoring – Big Idea
A relationship is not a relationship without growing, deep, open, and intentional dialogue with one another. Prayer is that intentional dialogue with Jesus Christ.
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals, and to prayer.”
— Acts 2:42 NLT
“To prayer”: If I tell my wife I love her, but rarely have any extended, in-depth conversations with her, do I really love her? Prayer for men can sometimes be difficult. It is easy to hang with the guys, but to speak to someone you cannot see and rarely hear much back from, can be intimidating. Prayer is simply communication with the One who has given us new life now and forever. Part of prayer is getting to know God, through His Word to us, which is the Bible. Just like any other relationship it takes time to get to know each other. What is one next step you can take to grow in your intentional communication with Jesus Christ?
