Big Idea: Pride – The Opposite of Genuine Confidence
Pride is a dangerous master. When selfish pride takes over it often leads to broken men, broken relationships, poor leadership, a lifetime of regret, and sin. Proverbs says “pride comes before a fall.” Confidence is another matter. Confidence is in God who has given us life, love, and the ability to make a difference for him in every relationship and every setting.
Today – ask God to remove your fixation with yourself and focus on obedience to the one who gave His life for you. As Dr. Clarence Shuler said: it is about self-worth versus self-worship.
