Tip of the Week

The purpose of the Tip of the Week is to provide weekly insight for Pastor’s and Men’s Leaders into the Biblical Design for Men, Issues Facing Men, and How to Build an Engaging Relationship with men that results in Authentic, Biblical manhood. We provide this insight because every man and every church deserves an environment for an engaging Ministry with Men.

Building a Ministry of Spiritual Mentoring: Setting the Foundation

by | Aug 10, 2022

Big Idea: Building a culture of Spiritual Mentoring or intentional discipling comes from the Pastor and flows thru the key leadership to the rest of the men.

The pastor and key leaders set the culture and determine the priorities for your local ministry. In the “Six Steps to an Engaging Ministry to Men” that Men’s Ministry Catalyst teaches, we begin by ensuring that what is being done to engage and disciple men in your church comes from the core vision of the pastor and the church leadership. An effective ministry to men always aligns with the vision of the pastor and the church. To ensure you do not build a ministry to men that is not a silo unto itself:

  • If you are the pastor, have you connected with the leaders of your men and shared your vision on how men can be the growth engine of your church?
  • If you are a leader of men in your church, have you consulted with your pastor to understand the vision and priorities of men in your church?

This is the foundation of an engaging and effective ministry to men in your local church.
