Making Christmas Unique: Read the Christmas Story

by | Dec 13, 2023

Making Christmas Unique in 2023: Big Idea: Set time to read the Christmas story with your family or friends:  Luke 1:5-56 and includes 2:1-20.

In thinking about the Christmas story – put yourself in the place of the different characters outlined in this story and discuss your thoughts and observations with family or friends.  What would it be like to be Joseph?  What was he thinking and feeling as the dad of Jesus?  What was it like to be the shepherds and be invited to go see this baby who was the Son of God?  What were the angels thinking as they announced His birth?  What did the wise men experience as they came to visit the Christ child? As a man it might be difficult to think about this from Mary’s point of view, however, if you are married, ask your wife would that experience has been like.

Today – Take time to discuss the Christmas story. How does this story impact you, your family, and any friends you speak with?  What difference does this story make in your daily life?
