Leadership Principles: Big Idea: Think and Act like an Owner!
One of the keys to growth and success many coaches put forth to impact the productivity, creativity, and fulfillment of those they coach is to think and act like an owner. How does an owner think and act? Because owners are heavily invested in the endeavor, they think and act differently. They are resilient, willing to take risks, accountable and self-aware. Owners have a big picture and do things that “are not in their job description” because it impacts everyone around them.
Today: Evaluate yourself today. Are you going above and beyond? Are you impacting the entire organization – be it marketplace, family, community, and/or church? What is one thing that pops up for you in which you can change your mindset and impact others? In Deuteronomy 11:31, the children of Israel were headed into the Promised Land. This verse tells them “to possess it, and make yourself at home.” Sounds like an owner, even though this gift was given to them, they were instructed to own it. Today – possess and make yourself at home.
