4 Pillars of Ministry to Men: Big Idea: Prayer

In life, vocation, and even ministry, men just want to get right to it and work. They feel there is no time to waste.  Men have a “let’s fix it or get it started” mentality. We can be working fast and hard, but are we sure we are going in the right direction? It has been said the formula of one hour of prayer plus four hours of work always yields more than five hours of production.

Men typically try and let the mind rule and guide us, however,  it is our heart that truly leads us. Philippians 4:6 states, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer ad supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” Verse seven tells us that our teaching, fellowship, and sharing of meals are in the right direction and that God will provide peace which surpasses all understanding.

Today – Assess your leadership teams’ prayer time and adjust accordingly to allow time for nothing more than prayer.
