4 Pillars of Ministry to Men: Big Idea: Breaking of Bread

Food, as a part of any ministry to men, is almost a given! The NLT version renders the phrase, “the breaking of bread,” as sharing of meals in verse 42 of Acts 2.  It is again mentioned in verse 46. As we know eating for sustenance is critical, however, we also know that hardly anyone likes to eat alone.

The two most common parts of any holiday are family and eating together. Last week we discussed fellowship with men, and many instances in the Bible where sharing a meal is one of the primary ways the fellowship is established, deepened, and enjoyed both with God and others.

Today: The preparation and service of food is a great way to integrate men, who otherwise may not be involved, in the ministry with your men. Seek out several men who enjoy cooking who can serve by preparing or serving food.
