Act Like Men – I Corinthians 16:13–14

Be on the Alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all you do be done in love.

Let All You Do Be Done in Love

It is so easy for men to fall into a hard edge when cultivating the Garden — we can often feel entitled in our “maleness” if we are not careful. Pride is one of the most effective weapons that the enemy will use in us and against us. Jesus summarized all of the Commandments in two short phases in Mark 12:30–31: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength’. The second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself’. There is no commandment greater than these.” In what ways might I be able to demonstrate more love when cultivating and caring for my Garden? What is one small change I can make, that over time will make a big impact?
