As Christians, even with the best of intentions, we can become distracted and easy prey to temptation. However, when our focus is on God, we can be unstoppable! God’s Word tells us to be single-minded in purpose, focusing our thoughts on what is good, and sticking with it!
A horse may not respond to its rider when they are tired, lazy, or perhaps a little nervous. Sometimes horses that have been ridden with only the bozell get a little head strong as they realize the rider has limited control over them.
Living life by formula is an easy trap to fall into. When life doesn’t turn out like we expect, eventually disappointment and frustration can well up into resentment and disillusionment. What we really create with all our formulas for living is a formula for disaster!

Sadie is our current Labrador. As her trainer told us, “She is very self-assured and independent.” Basically, Sadie was bred to be a very highly-skilled, pheasant-hunting dog who points first before she flushes a bird. While being a good dog for hunting she thinks she should rule the house. She listens when she wants to listen.
