Why do we need to give anger our attention? Anger is like a stream trickling through the mind. If encouraged it cuts a channel into which all other thoughts are drained. Anger has numerous negative effects on our health; it can destroy relationships and, in extreme cases, result in physical and psychological injury to others and ourselves. It also negatively impacts our Christian witness to others. The Bible speaks plainly about the negative effects of anger.

A quick-tempered man acts foolishly, and a man of wicked intentions is hated.
Proverbs 14:17

If you stay calm, you are wise, but if you have a hot temper, you only show how stupid you are.”
Proverbs 14:29 GNT

Description

Anger is like fire; it can make things better, but it can also destroy everything in its path. To use this powerful force properly, a Christian man has to make some fundamental changes and fight the good fight. Anger, and What To Do With It describes that fight and gives practical steps you can take to win the battle — every time. This is a struggle that won’t go away, but with a biblical approach, you can turn your situation around.

He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, And he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.
