Dear Prayer Partners,
Here we are moving into the holiday season already! These are great days at MMC, and we look forward to a great couple of months as we finish 2024. Of course, we ask you to pray for all the MMC families and their holidays. Holidays are either very meaningful for families or very difficult. Please pray for God’s peace and presence to be lifting and encouraging our MMC families and give them the ability to celebrate all that is of God this holiday season.
This has been a tremendous fall for ministry at MMC. We enjoyed meeting with business groups, our Cohort Team Experience, leadership workshops, attending conferences, and speaking at ISIs. We praise God for allowing us the health, stamina, and opportunity to have a very productive season. In addition, the ministry partnership I spoke of last time we communicated is coming together and looks very promising for our future.
Prayer Requests
- MMC Year End Faith Partner outreach – if you have been around here very long, you know that this is a very important time to ask our Faith Partners to continue to support this ministry for another year. Our actual letter talking about our future goes out right after Thanksgiving. While many of our Faith Partners are monthly givers, which is tremendously helpful, we also depend on the one-time gifts we receive at the Year’s End to help us financially validate and confirm our plans and budget for 2025.
Pray that as God has touched the hearts of our Faith Partners for over 44 years, that He does so again. This next year is one of the most critical in our history, as we are preparing for our future.
- Cohort Experience – Starting in July, 17 men committed to read, study, and prepare that during the next six months, God would do something foundational in their calling and expertise in building and growing their local ministry with their men. I am excited to report that God is faithful, and these men are seeing transformation in them and their ministries. Pray that God will continue to impact the lives of these men and the churches they serve. Pray also that God would give us another group of men who will start with us in January 2025. - Ministry Partnership – As we reported in August, MMC has been exploring the ability to create an MMC legacy that will continue to live on. In September our Board voted to begin a journey that would ultimately transition MMC to a long-term home. We have found such a home. More to come later on who this is. For now, we need your prayer support as we work through all the details and processes to integrate MMC into their world over the next 12 to 18 months and expand what they do for local churches. This gives us a brand new opportunity to work with hundreds of churches that we would not reach on our own.
Pray that God continues to lead us as we work through this process. Change is always challenging. For Jim, me, and the new organization we pray for grace, clarity, peace, and continual confirmation as we work through this process over the many months that follow.
