Dear Prayer Partners,
We are seeing a great move of God as RDN and MMC continue to work daily to join forces and continue to do ministry together. In September, we focused on your faithfulness in your prayer support for this ministry. This verse still stands for us, and we pray it for you as well: “My prayer to You, O Lord, is a time of favor” Psalm 69:13.
Favor has never meant a lack of challenges to work through. What it means is that God’s Glory is to be seen in our journey, and others will be drawn to Him. That is what we are praying for MMC, and for you!!
Where are we today, and where do we need your prayers?
- Merger of MMC to RDN – For the last two months, we have been pursuing the vision and reality of our two organizations to become one and support each other in the journey.
So what are we doing to make this happen?
- How can RDN support MMC by exposing MMC to their network? Eddie has been in several markets where RDN has a presence and shares the MMC story. There has been nothing but very positive feedback. Pray that we can understand our priorities as we work with our new churches from around the country and utilize what God has for us in each situation.
- MMC has committed to continue to fund this ministry for a minimum of two years. We are approaching our once-a-year YE Faith Partner financial request time. While we have many who give monthly, we only have an official financial request once a year – this is that time. Pray that our Faith Partners see the vision and feel the excitement that all of us are experiencing as we are just beginning to see what God is about to do with the future of MMC.
- A critical task list is being worked on for the continued merger. We are working to execute on the priorities while still focusing on ministry. This includes branding, cross-pollination between MMC and RDN, and much more.
Pray for wisdom and favor for all of us in this transition. The future is tremendously exciting. - Working in our Legacy – both looking back for 45 years and extending it forward under the RDN/MMC Banner.
- Pray for and love on Jim and Louise. This is certainly an exciting time for the ministry as it moves forward. Jim will continue to be involved going forward with continuing to love our Faith Partners. In addition, he will write and speak as he desires and has opportunities. It is a big thing to hand your baby off to another organization. We are proud of their commitment to move MMC forward under the direction of RDN. Praise God!
- Continuing to provide important leadership to pastors and leaders of men in the context of local churches.
- Small Group Study Guides – We are about to launch three more small group study guides, on top of the three we already have. These will be launched in 2026 over the course of the year. Pray for favor as we use AI (thank you, Tristan Johnson) to more quickly create these vital tools for the churches in the MMC/RDN network.
- Cohort Experience – We will be continuing our Cohort Experience in 2026. These men are called of God to make a difference in their local church. We have men representing small churches, along with men representing large churches. We are at 60 men total and counting. Pray for this group of leaders walking with us through December and for the next group of leaders that will be joining us in January. We are committed to expanding this unique transformational experience.
- Men’s Leadership Workshop – MMC has been leading this one-day workshop for many years. In the last couple of months, we have conducted three of these workshops, with more scheduled through the end of the year. Pray that churches will commit to making ministry to men a high priority and either host or send their leaders to these important workshops. Pray for our new host churches that will be hosting trainings for 2026.
- Regular Ministry Communications Continue – We continue to receive very positive feedback on our Tuesday Devotionals, the Wednesday Tip of the Week, and the twice-monthly Podcast dealing with issues and opportunities men face. All of these will continue or be expanded in some manner in 2026.
While we say this every time, it remains true now more than ever. MMC cannot accomplish our God-given mission without your earnest prayer support. I thank God every time I remember you. Philippians 1:3-11
In His Service,
Eddie Bateman, Director | Wendell Morton, Advisory Board Member
