Praying hands

Dear Prayer Partners,

Spring is an awesome time of the year! God brings the beginning of the warmth, the rains to promote life, the ability to get outside more, and the emotional lift we all feel when winter is over. Deuteronomy 11:14, says: then I will send rain on your land in its season, so you may gather in your grain, new wine, and olive oil. Deuteronomy goes on to say: Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants. Where is the rain falling in your life? What crops have you planted expecting a spiritual harvest in due time? How do you find yourself rejoicing and expecting, regardless of the environment in which you find yourself? The Bible goes on to say: See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:19

Your belief in the work of MMC and your faith and consistent prayer in the mighty work of God through this ministry is the basis of the work of God in and through us. Thank you for your faithfulness – We cannot expect the results we are seeing without your support.

Where are we today and where do we need your prayers?

  1. Merger of MMC to RDN – As you know MMC is merging with Relational Discipleship Network (RDN – https://rdn.org ) This is a legacy answer to prayer. As you know MMC has been impacting men in their churches for more than 44 years. The heart of Jim and Louise has been to find a ministry that could continue the work of MMC so that it continues to impact men in the context of local churches. RDN is an intentional discipleship organization that works directly with churches to coach them in their discipleship journey. Adding the focus on men is a critical initiative that RDN believes is an opportunity that will expand its reach.
    1. MMC/RDN has hired a Director (Eddie Bateman) who will take the leadership of MMC through RDN. Jim Grassi and I are working directly with Eddie and RND to make this transition seamless while continuing to grow the impact of MMC.
    2. We are in the final stages of the legal process and planning on how to merge our two organizations by the end of 2025.
    3. A critical task list has been created that will ensure we are working on essential processes in priority order for a smooth transition.

      Pray for all of us involved in this journey, including the boards of both organizations. Pray for Jim and Louise as they continue to support MMC during this transition in 2025 and as volunteers in 2026.

  2. Continuing to provide important leadership to pastors and leaders of men in the context of local churches.
    1. Small Group Study Guides – Thanks to our Founder Dr. Jim Grassi, MMC has 21 books under the MMC label. This is decades of writing, and these books have had and will continue to have a tremendous impact on thousands of men. We are now on the journey of taking many of these books and using them to create 6 to 10 week small group study guides for men. This will be an initiative for the coming months. Pray – for favor as we use AI (thank you Tristan Johnson) to more quickly create these vital tools for the churches in the MMC/RDN network.
    2. Cohort Experience – for the last 18 months we have been leading groups of pastors and leaders of men from around the country in a Monthly Cohort Experience. Each group meets for 6 months walking through the critical components of building an impactful ministry to men. Pray for the group ending in June and the new group beginning in July.
    3. Men’s Leadership Workshop – MMC has been leading this one-day workshop for many years. We are in the process of scheduling a few more in 2025 and looking into 2026 as well. We have Colorado Springs scheduled for June 7th. Pray – that churches will commit to making ministry to men a high priority and either host or send their leaders to this one-day important workshop.
    4. Regular Ministry Support –
      1. Weekly Devotionals – encouraging with the truth of God’s word combined with a story of the implementation of this truth.
      2. Tip of the Week – a quick one-minute read on ministry to men, focusing on men to find victory, and the principles for our role as men.
      3. Bi-monthly Podcasts – twice a month we produce 25-minute audio podcasts that have amazing guests, deal with issues that men face, and encourage men in their journey.

        Pray for all of these regular ways to teach and encourage men in their journey as men, husbands, dads, workplace men of faith, and impacting their local church.
