Galatians 6:2 – Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

Colossians 4:3–4 – And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ…

Praying hands

Dear Prayer Partners,

Does it feel like spring yet to you? The sun is setting later each day and coming up earlier. Birds are starting to sing more, the trees are budding, and the grass in Colorado is starting to green up with warmer days. How is life going for you? The world can be chaotic as we know, however, we are so glad that God is still in control. We pray that you are seeing signs of spring in your life as well. We are praying for spiritual renewal, vibrancy in our witness, the boldness of Christ’s life being projected to others through our daily activities. Praise God!

In the January letter, I mentioned how we are confidently tackling 2024 initiatives. We are confident because of your daily prayers for us and the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Well – God delivered and there are no signs that it is slowing down anytime soon.

  • We are humbled and grateful for the time that Jim, Louise, and two faith partner families were able to spend in Yuma, Arizona, and Mexico recently.   They covered everything from a marriage workshop to a men’s breakfast and several challenging Sunday messages. It was an incredibly blessed time in each of the services. The Grassi’s will be headed back to Post Falls from Yuma in less than two weeks./li>

Pray for fruit to grow from their southern ministry efforts and a productive transition to Post Falls.

  • Besides local Colorado churches, I was able to speak at an Iron Sharpens Iron event in the Detroit area. That is significant as I worked with Scott Haima, our staff member who lives in the general area. Our ministry goal is to see what kind of an impact God wants to open up for MMC in the cities of Detroit, Buffalo, and Rochester, NY as well as the surrounding areas. We have an Iron Sharpens Iron Men’s Conference in Buffalo in less than two weeks (March 16) and a Pastor’s Conference to follow in both cities in April. We will have the same cadence in the fall in Rochester, NY.

Pray for these times together with hungry men and men’s leaders that they will stay focused on the commitments for the kingdom which includes building a dynamic and growing ministry in their local churches.

  • Paper to Digital / Legacy Initiative: We committed 2024 to be the year that we moved many of our resources to a digital platform. As you know, much of the content today is found on digital platforms. This is as simple as Audible books, Kindle for electronic readers, and online classes. Our books and booklets. Will also be transferred to electronic platforms. We are moving forward with some of this already. It also expands our reach without Jim or me having to be present to guide local churches.

Pray for the right partner to produce these products, as well as the right partner who can help us create an even more active ministry today and a legacy for tomorrow.

  • Cohort Initiative – We have now had two of the six monthly meetings with the 15 men who are pastors and leaders of men in more than 5 states and 13 different cities. While the feedback has been incredible, what matters most to MMC is that these men will be able to train others. It is the true definition of discipleship!

Pray these men can stay focused on the long view of ministry and not the tyranny of the urgent, which is always knocking at the door.

  • Speaking Engagements:
    • March 16: Iron Sharpens Iron
      • Buffalo – Don Paterson, Board Member
      • Wilmington, NC – Wendell Morton
    • March 20 – Fellowship of the Rockies – CO – Wendell Morton
    • April 13 – Pastors and Leaders Conference
      • Buffalo – Wendell Morton, Scott Haima
    • April 27 – Pastors and Leaders Conference
      • Detroit – Wendell Morton, Scott Haima

We know as we move into summer some of these opportunities may get delayed. That is why favor is so important as we move forward.

Pray for God’s favor and the favor of those with whom we work to move the work along timely.

YOU are a blessing that without which MMC would NEVER achieve what God has for us in 2024 and beyond. We covet your prayers and support.

In His Service,

Wendell Morton
