Dear Prayer Partners,
Welcome to the heart of the summer. We pray that you and your family are enjoying some time together, enjoying the beauty of God’s creation around you. Spiritually, using the season illustration, we are in the heart of the growing season as we head towards harvest season. Looking inward, what got planted spiritually in my life, and how am I caring for this crop? Am I focused on the growth, or am I distracted and “hoping” it will grow on its own? Let’s pray for each other as we move closer towards harvest.
“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up”. Galatians 6:9
Your continued prayer support for and belief in the work that God is doing through MMC is what allows God to continue to use this ministry to make a difference in so many lives.
Where are we today and where do we need your prayers?
- Merger of MMC to RDN – This is a continual prayer through the remainder of the year. Just to refresh: As you may remember, MMC is merging with Relational Discipleship Network (RDN – https://rdn.org).
- We have been working diligently and are nearly there legally. We will sign paperwork yet this summer. Pray that God will honor our legacy in this process.
- You will recall we hired a director in late March (Eddie Bateman), who will take the leadership of MMC through RDN. Jim Grassi and I are working directly with Eddie and RND to make this transition seamless while continuing to grow the impact of MMC. Pray that the continued transition taking the mantle of leadership will be seamless, yet refocus the ministry under the banner of RDN as we work to impact the men in the churches of both networks.
- A critical task list has been created that will ensure we are working on essential processes in priority order for a smooth transition.
- Pray for all of us involved in this journey, including the boards of both organizations. Pray for Jim and Louise as they continue to support MMC during this transition in 2025 and as volunteers in 2026.
- Continuing to provide important leadership to pastors and leaders of men in the context of local churches.
- Small Group Study Guides – We noted in March that we are working to create 6 to 10-week small group study guides for men. We are getting very close on the first one and have two others ready to launch behind it. This will be an initiative for the coming months. Pray for favor as we use AI (thank you, Tristan Johnson) to more quickly create these vital tools for the churches in the MMC/RDN network.
- Cohort Experience – We are starting our fourth Cohort this month. There are seventeen men signed up. We believe these men are called of God to make a difference in their local church. We have men representing small churches, along with men representing very large churches. This will take us to right at 60 men over the last two years who are actively working to impact the men of their church and beyond. Pray for this new group of key leaders beginning in July.
- Men’s Leadership Workshop – MMC has been leading this one-day workshop for many years. There is currently one scheduled for We are in the process of scheduling a few more in 2025 and looking into 2026 as well. Pray that churches will commit to making ministry to men a high priority and either host or send their leaders to this one-day important workshop.
- Regular Ministry Communications Continue –
- Weekly Devotionals – encouraging with the truth of God’s word combined with a story of the implementation of this truth.
- Tip of the Week – a quick one-minute read on ministry to men, focusing on men to find victory, and the principles for our role as men. Eddie is now writing these.
- Bi-monthly Podcasts – twice a month, MMC produces a 25-minute audio podcasts that have amazing guests, deals with issues that men face, and encourages men in their journey. Pray for all of these regular ways to teach and encourage men in their journey as men, husbands, dads, workplace men of faith, and to impact their local church.
MMC cannot accomplish our God-given mission without your prayer support. I thank God every time I remember you. Philippians 1:3-11
In His Service,
Eddie Bateman, Director | Wendell Morton, Executive Director
