What Page Do You Turn to in Times of Trouble?
“But I call to God, and the LORD saves me.” Psalm 55:16
Nowadays most of us have speed dial on our phones whether they’re “land-lines” or cell phones. It’s a wonderful convenience. Similarly, I wish I had speed dial for scriptures. You know, press 1 for “fear”, 2 for “worry”, 3 for “loneliness”, etc. Of course memorizing scripture is the best solution. Still, I find it handy to keep a list of favorite verses in the back of my Bible as a personal reference. I received the following in an email and find it pretty handy:

Whatever we’re facing in life, let’s look to God’s Word for truth and comfort. When we spend time in His Word, we gain wisdom, comfort, and joy. We come to know Him!
The Power of Truth:
“I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.” Psalm 119:11
“Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path.” Psalm 119:105 (NLT)
“Your words are what sustain me. They bring me great joy and are my heart’s delight, for I bear your name, O LORD God Almighty.” Jer. 15:16
Suggestion for Prayer:
Read one of the above references. Consider how it applies to your life and circumstances and what it teaches you about God. Ask God to reveal His truth to you in this area.
