Customized Disciple-Makers Resources
Authentic discipleship is about developing a caring concern and a desire to share Gods love for others through modeling Christ-like attitudes and behavior – i.e. building a relationship that can help both parties become stronger in their faith.
The First Century Church clearly defined Discipleship as a relational process that requires people to become actively involved in their faith. The apostle Paul in writing to the Romans said: How can people invoke His name when they do not believe? How can they believe in Him when they have not heard? How can they hear if there is no one proclaiming Him? (Rom 10:14 The Voice). How many people in your church are equipped to share God’s word in a way that is accepting to the non-believer?
The great theologian and author Dietrich Bonhoeffer wrote the following about the importance of discipleship in the local church: Christianity without the living Christ is inevitably Christianity without discipleship, and Christianity without discipleship is always Christianity without Christ. Discipleship is “bondage” to Jesus Christ alone, completely breaking through every program, every ideal, every set of laws.
MMC has assisted thousands of churches over the past four-decades by helping their members to become more effective disciple-makers. While our major focus tends to be on men, the disciple-makers resources are a church focused program for all ages, genders, and program areas.
The average church in America has only two baptisms a year. If we are not teaching people that the essence of the Christian message is to know God and make Him known then we are missing the point. As stated in Act 1:8 we are to be His witness.
Men’s Ministry Catalyst has the biblically-based resources, messages, experience, and resources to inspire and guide your church towards the goal of making disciples (Matt. 4:19). Through surveys, gift analysis, coaching, and creating dynamic outreach programs, members are equipped to become active participants in their faith, not just spectators.
